Why we built Distribook
Sri Lankan businesses have never been short of software options. What they have been short of is software that fits. Systems built for other markets assume immediate payment, stable connectivity and a single stock location. Local businesses run on credit, cheques, multiple branches and interruptions — so staff quietly build a second, paper version of the business alongside the software, and the reports stop meaning anything.
We started Distribook to close that gap. Not by adding features, but by making one system that holds the whole business: what was sold, what is in stock, who owes what, who worked today, and what is selling online. When those live together, the owner can finally look at one screen and believe it.
What we do
Distribook runs at retail counters, in showrooms, across distribution routes and inside warehouses. It handles billing and stock, sales representatives and their routes, purchase orders and supplier costing, fingerprint attendance and payroll, and complete online stores with iOS and Android applications.
Alongside the platform we build complete e-commerce businesses for clients in Sri Lanka and internationally — including an online supermarket serving customers in Australia, built and maintained from Jaffna.
How we work with you
We quote against your actual business rather than a package. Before anything is confirmed we look at how you bill, how you record stock and how you handle credit, and we say plainly if Distribook is not the right fit. Once you go ahead, migration, configuration, hardware setup and staff training are part of the work, not extras that appear on a later invoice.
After go-live you keep talking to the same team. That is the whole point of buying from a company down the road rather than a reseller.
