Distribook for Supermarkets

High volume, thin margins and thousands of SKUs. Supermarkets need software that is quick at the front and rigorous at the back.

Supermarkets in Sri Lanka running on Distribook business management software
Built for supermarkets

What usually goes wrong

  • Several counters that must all agree at the end of the day
  • Thousands of SKUs with different expiry profiles
  • Shrinkage discovered only at the annual stock take
  • Weekly promotions that change across categories

What Distribook does instead

  • Multiple billing counters with individual cash sessions
  • Batch and expiry tracking with early warning lists
  • Category-level margin and movement reporting
  • Fast promotion setup that applies across counters at once

Why supermarkets run better on one system

A supermarket lives or dies on throughput and shrinkage. Distribook supports multiple simultaneous counters, each with its own operator, cash session and audit trail, so cash differences can be traced to a shift rather than argued about across a whole day.

On the back-end, category and supplier reporting show which lines are actually earning their shelf space. Expiry and slow-mover lists give category managers something concrete to act on each week, well before stock becomes a write-off.

FAQ

Supermarkets — common questions

How long does it take to set up Distribook for a supermarket business?

Most businesses go live within one to two weeks. That covers data migration, configuring your pricing and stock rules, hardware setup and staff training. Larger multi-branch rollouts are phased branch by branch.

Can you move our existing data across?

Yes. We migrate your product list, customers, suppliers and outstanding balances from spreadsheets or your current software, reconcile the figures with you, and only go live once they agree.

What does it cost?

Plans start at LKR 3,000 per month for Admin + POS and LKR 3,500 with the mobile app. The advanced package with payroll, attendance and e-commerce is LKR 5,500 per month, and a one-time licence is available at LKR 130,000. Message us for a written quotation for your setup.

Do you provide training and support?

Yes. Counter staff and management training is included in setup, and ongoing support is provided in Tamil, Sinhala and English over WhatsApp and phone, with on-site help where needed.
